True, the Netherlands might not spring to mind when you book a beach holiday, but this country boasts some great sandy beaches. The weather in Holland is pretty much the same as in the UK so beach life here is not just about soaking up the sun. The Dutch dunes are lined with a multitude of hip beach clubs where sun lovers can eat, drink or shelter for the rain if need be.
Here are my three favourite Dutch Beach clubs.

Bloomingdale in Bloemendaal
This uber trendy place is the Cafe Del Mar of the North Sea and a veritable hotspot to clock some local celebs . Sit back on comfy designer sun loungers and indulge in some heavy duty people watching with a refreshing cocktail or prosecco in your hand. Finish the day with a scrumptious gourmet dinner at the restaurant?s terrace overlooking the sea. The fun is not over when the sun goes down as Bloomingdale is famous for organising beach parties where well known DJ?s come and show off their music mixing skills. And yes, you can buy the CD to bring home as a souvenir.

Sissy Boy Noord in Bergen aan Zee
Sissy Boy Noord beach club is part of the well known Dutch clothing chain selling casual clothing for men and women as well as home ware. Their latest sea side venture has the same design as its city shops using items from their home ware collection that are all for sale. So basically you can have a cappuccino and take home the mug. The place has a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere with the sounds of breaking waves in the background, which oddly enough is a recording and not the real thing. SB Noord is the perfect place to come in for a refreshing drink after a day out in the sun or a warm hot cocoa after a long walk on the beach in autumn.

Nederzandt in Noordwijkerhout
Nederzandt is so much more than just a beach club as it is a big complex of rooms and meeting areas that the owners hire out to large parties. They offer a range of different sporty beach activities for company team building events and even put together entire weddings. You can sign up for language immersion courses, relax while you?re getting a massage or admire the works of local artists. If you just came here to hit the beach you can lounge on one of the many deck chairs and sip on a cool drink while soaking up the sun. Finish the day with a delicious meal which can be enjoyed on one of the many terraces with the sun setting in the back ground.
