Clifton is a world famous beach despite the 500 steps you need to climb to get to and from the four beaches below. Clifton 1st beach is the most popular and the bodies you will find on these beaches are hotter that the weather. The beaches are very sheltered from the Cape Doctor (south easter) and an absolute must visit in summer. Take your beach bats and have some fun in the sun, but like Camps Bay beach you have been warned, the water is cold........

This beach is a great beach for sunbathing. There is a bit of a walk down to the beach, but the trek is well worth it. The water is quite cold and on the weekend it can be packed.

Clifton beach is split into 4 beaches, 4th beach is the largest of the beaches and the most popular, the beaches do become more secluded as you make your way to 1st beach. Parking is a nightmare here and in summer you will have to get there early to find a good spot.
